DTLA IS COMING BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!
As Downtown LA gets back on track, there are some exciting new restaurants, hotels, and retailers set to open in the coming months and even some events back on the calendar. After all the restrictions and closures, it’s so nice to see the streets bustling and businesses booming once again.

APPLE STORE
Opened June 24th
After years of anticipation, the DTLA Apple Store is now open! The 94-year-old Tower Theatre has been fully restored and re-imagined as one of Apple's most significant flagships. The Apple Tower Theatre anchors the corner of Eighth Street and Broadway, where visitors will immediately recognize the fully restored clock tower and renovated historic blade sign. If you are looking for service and support from Apple team members, the upper level of the Theatre has been modernized and made into a flexible space for Genius Bar appointments. The Apple Tower Theatre will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, with team members ready to provide support and service to all visitors.

SMORGASBURG LOS ANGELES
Opened July 4th
Smorgasburg LA is back! Smorgasburg is the largest weekly open-air food market in America with dozens of exciting food vendors, shopping, and cultural pop-up events. Smorgasburg LA is open every Sunday on the five-acre site of the weekday Alameda Produce Market, which is part of a larger, new development called ROW DTLA. A parking garage for more than 4,000 cars is available at ROW DTLA with one-hour free parking. For this event, you will need to leave your pets at home as pets are not allowed.

CAPITAL GRILLE
Opening July 16th
The upscale steakhouse chain is set to open 2 blocks away from Metropolis at 700 West Ninth Street in the ground floor retail space at Alina. The 10,000 square foot restaurant is the first LA location and joins the other 61 locations around the U.S. The Capital Grille is best known for its expertly prepared steaks, which are dry-aged in-house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by the restaurant's onsite butcher and a wine list that features more than 350 selections. PROPER HOTEL
Opening July 24th
The 1920-era red-brick, Renaissance Revival designed by the architecture firm Curlett & Beelman sets the stage for Kelly Wearstler to work her magic mixing elements of Spanish, Portuguese, Mexican, and Moroccan design elements throughout the property. The 13-story adaptive reuse hotel features 148 rooms and will include three restaurants from Chef Suzanne Goin and Restaurateur Caroline Styne and 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Located at the corner of South Broadway and West 11th Street and is South Park District adjacent. Rooms are available to book starting July 24th.

LA ART SHOW
July 29th – August 1st
The LA Art Show returns July 29th in person at the LA Convention Center. The LA Art Show creates one of the largest international art fairs in the United States, providing an exciting, immersive, insider art experience to sponsors, their select guests, and VIP clients. The 2021 LA Art Show will feature 75 galleries from around the world, exhibiting an extraordinary selection of painting, sculpture, works on paper, installation, photography, design, video, and performance in more than 180,000 square feet of exhibition space, as well as an outdoor area for the first time.
