Haunted houses may not be an option this year, but what if you could get a similar experience from the safety of your car? Here to satisfy the spooky sensations that the month of October brings is Los Angeles’ first-ever Halloween-themed food crawl complete with a creature safari and a virtual campfire. Known as The Bite LA, the event will be hosted around Legg Lake creating an extra eerie feeling as you make your way through each station. The entry includes eight bites of seasonal grub served by costumed ghouls and other dark entities stationed along the course. Bring a flashlight in hand and shine it into the wooded area surrounding you, you’ll be sure to find monstrous creatures lurking within the trees—hopefully before they find you! Following the food crawl there will be plenty of additional food for purchase including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options for anyone hungry for more. Put your car in park to end the evening at a virtual campfire and listen in on scary stories with your choice of hot cocoa, cider, or coffee. For those wanting to take it up a notch, you can choose to decorate your car for a chance to win a car costume contest.
